My Manifesto !

Karim Rashid’s point,  “Normal is not good” speaks to me the most because I always think the same way. Actually I agree not only this one, but I have more resonance with “Normal is not good”. I especially dislike those reinforcers who always concurring other’s opinions. I feel they are fake and doesn’t have their own point of view. Then what they are living for? People live in this world because they are living for a meaning of life. Reinforcers live in a life of copying other’s lifestyles. Don’t satisfy with being normal because being normal is nothing good. Not anyone is born to be outstanding but we should always trying to be. I’m looking for a way to be unique and outstanding, I want to be in a good status. That’s what I always tell myself. Here are my manifestos:
1. Don’t easily trust others who you are not familiar with.
2. Don’t doubt your ability and be confident.
3. Watch good movies and learn meaning from them.
4. Be optimistic and then good luck will come to you
5. Ignore what others say about you and do what you think is right.
6. How much you gain is how much you paid.
7. Never stop chasing dream just because that’s hard.
8. Keep a good weekly schedule and plan.
9. Never regret about those things already past.
10. Be brave and keep thinking every minute !!!

What's your Freak Factors?

After reading David Rendall’s FREAK FACTOR: Discovering Uniqueness by Flaunting Weakness, I learn several new ways to overcome my weakness. I think some of his suggestions are quite useful to me.
First suggestion that I’d like to talk about is “What’s your problem?” In this part, Rendall asked that do people aware of what their weaknesses are. Everyone around you might have criticism and judgements on you and that will let you think if yourself really have some problems. Then what should you do in order to respond to it? He offered an instruction: The most common choice is to build on strengths and fix weaknesses. This is prevalent at work where annual appraisals are focused on overcoming our apparent limitations. People are usually expected to do good in all areas like study and social skills. People need to be well-rounded. However, these efforts do not work, and being well-rounded is not a worthy or realistic goal. From my personal perspective, His suggestions of building on strengths and fix weaknesses works.
The second opinion he offers is “What’s my problem?”. Author provided a list of his weaknesses and he doesn’t even think those weaknesses should be fixed. Because he thinks his uniqueness should own to his weaknesses. Even with these weaknesses, He’s been able to achieve a moderate level of success. He discovered that his apparent flaws were clues to his true strengths. He’s three important tips are:
1. There is nothing wrong with you. Weaknesses are important clues to your strengths.
2. You find success when you find the right fit. You need to match your unique characteristics to situations that reward those qualities.
3. Your weaknesses make you different. They make you a freak and it’s good to be a freak.
I think his suggestion is valid because sometimes I feel the same way. If you don’t have any weaknesses, then you’re just too perfect. And in this whole world, there is no perfect people exist. What does that mean? That means too perfect cannot fit in this world. To my point of view, being too perfect is being a freak. Everyone should have some weaknesses, and just because their weaknesses make them a different from others. Weaknesses are your characteristics. We should be unique and we need to be.
Another suggestions I think is valid is “Foundation: Build on your strengths”. He said, your strengths are patterns of passion and proficiency. They are what you love to do. He stated three important opinions that I think we should always remember: It feels good, build on your strengths is enjoyable and energizing to work on your strengths. You have the greatest potential in your areas of strength. These are your natural gifts and provide you with your best chances for success.Your strengths make up for your weaknesses. Well-developed strengths often make your weaknesses irrelevant. I personally think if someone seeks out something good in him, he should carry on the good things and expand them to make himself a better person. And for some weaknesses, people just born to have those. And there is no way to overcome those weaknesses. I also have a lot of weaknesses. I have acrophobia; I’m afraid of look into deep sea; I’m afraid of snake and etc. These weaknesses are those I born to have, and I have no idea how I could overcome them. Actually, there is no need for I to overcome this, trying to overcome those weaknesses just a waste of time. The only thing people need to do is to build on strengths. Find something precious in you and make good things happen.

9A.Reflections on the Gaming presentation

We did a gaming presentation in Friday’s lab last week. We were showing the ideas of our strategy game about college life. We explained our characters, audios, gaming rules and mechanics.
In our gaming presentation, I think we did a great job on classifying our game characters. The five social circles that we think are interesting and fit the real college life. And we create the sample of our characters. Their outfit, hairstyle, accessories and etc identify them clearly. These elements are showing the tradition of American college life especially for me as a foreigner. I think target the potential players for game is an important job during creation. Unfortunately, we don’t clear explain our game’s goal and how our game is fun to play on the presentation.  I think the additional important goal of our game is let people experience American college life. For example, I had not ideas about American college life before I came to American. When I still in China, I was afraid about what would happen when I arrived here. If there was a game like ours at that time, I could play and see what were the common characters and events that would happen in the future. I think I might get lots of help from these kinds a game at that time. So our game can especially help the players who are outside of this country and want to know American or American college.
I think the most difficult thing to discuss with others is the rules because the rule is too broad to discuss. We only can show a little bit part of the rules during presentation. During our creating process, every member can come out several rules each day, the rules are so detail and we need a lot of time to organize them and category them. For example, there are rules of leveling up, there are rule of completing missions, also there are rule to moving in the virtual world and etc. Hence, I think the rule is the difficult think to discuss and complete. All in all, I pretty like our ideas of game and I feel confident of it.

8B.Reflection on the Hero/Villain assignment

The first hero and villain that I want to compare are from Capri &Lauren. http://mdia203capri.blogspot.com/2011/05/nightnurse-vs-biohazard.html. In this group, the hue and saturation of hero and villain were fair. They both used black plus one warm color so these two characters had strong contrast. Also, they were using complementary hue creates these hero and villain. For example the hero was wearing pink shirt, pants and black cape. Pink and black were two hues that are opposite on the color wheel. In Capri &Lauren’s animation, they used straight ahead action to create characters’ movement. Fist of all, the villain tried to hurt the girl then the girl was screaming. After she completed her movement, the hero appeared and fried from the sky and stop behind the girl. Each character’s movement happened when the last character completed his/her movement. As difference, Capri let the villain were wearing a black eye patch, which is a symbol of bad people. Also the yellow color teeth and eyes make this character seems evil.

The second hero and villain that I want to compare are from Katie and Maddie. http://mcschneidy.blogspot.com/2011/05/animation-time.html. Their villain Psycho was wearing black hat, black suit, purple glass and purple shirt. These cold hues made Sonica look as a villain. We could not see his actual facial expression and also he has moustache. These details were all the symbol of evil. Their hero Sonica was wearing light yellow clothes, blue shoes and blue hand glove. The saturation of her image was strong and the warm hues made Sonica full fill the sense of justice. During their battle, they are using overlapping actions. The movements of both characters brought the weight of the scene. The hero and villain were using different strong power to fight each other such as the purple fire behind the villain.

The third hero and villain that I want to compare are from Brendan and Maggie. They only post hero on the blog at this time so I only can analyze the hero from Brendan. Here is the post link http://bctrepal.blogspot.com/2011/05/character-and-animation.html. I like this hero because he looks like iron man. The grey hue and grey mask made me feel mysterious about this hero. And the yellow color built the positive impression to him at the same time. These colors made me think he was a hero with mystique and sense of justice. The light of his image was bright but there were some shadows under his mask and cover his body. The shadow under his mask also helped create the sense of mystique. The shadow on his body make his muscles were seemed more obviously. It made him seems stronger and full of power. Overall, I pretty like this hero.

Reflection on the Video Joke Assignment

"Ye Olde Waiting Room"

"The Ole' Switcheroo"

These are our joke videos. We made the first video “Ye Olde Waiting Room” as silence comedy video so we didn’t care the dialogues between characters so much. Instead of that, the setting, lines, character’s movements became important for this video.

Actual lines were easy to realize in this video. For instance, in the picture of beginning scene above, the frame of door, sofa, and pictures are very obvious actual lines. These lines gave audiences a sense of space.

Then the female looks up, her eyes was showing us the virtual linesShe was looking towards to something.  Because we tried to use more establishing shots so this video didn’t include too many camera movements. We used characters’ movements to build up meaning.

In this scene, the female was pacing around, her movements provided us a rhythm and showed us meaning about she was waiting and worrying about something.

Also, we used the movements of pointer to show the time was passing.

In our second joke video “The Ole’ Switcher” we use dialogues and characters’ gesture to create the sense of the joke.
Again, actual and virtual lines were also used a lot in this video especially the virtual lines because we change the points of interest a lot in this one. We shifted our camera focus during the conversation between characters. During these close shots of characters’ facial expression, the audiences could see the lines of sight clearly. As different from another video, we provide more elements to show the space in this video.
In this scene, we would know they were in a lobby because the doors, elevator and crowed. Also the background sound helped us create the sense of space. In addition, the characters’ movements and moving direction gave us a kind of visual rhythm.

This is another example of space and rhythm.  The wide shot showed us the character should in a hallway and the male was walking from far to close. We could realize the rhythm through his movements and his steps sound.

Overall, this video joke project gave me interesting and unforgettable experiences.

Extra Credit - Creative Expo

I went to Students Expo on Friday last week. It was hard for me to understand the biological and  physical projects but I found the team from GRIDlab. They wer showing their game and so many students crowned and played. Also I was attracted by greenhouse invention. They used many products in stead of original decorative materials to gather and use more nature energy. In the end, I meet my friend Weijia who was majoring Electronic Engineering. He was showing a car robot with his partners. It was cute and so amazing.

5A.Reimagining Visual Framing

(Reframing Version)

(Original Version)

In this assignment I choose a photo from Salvador Dali and reframe it in Photoshop. I cut half of the photo because I want to zoom in to the horse and emphasis more on it. The elements that I want to discuss in the original one and my reframing one is the direction of line, the way that people perceive the lines, visual movement and intensity.
The line direction in my reframing picture is horizontal. It cased on the horse’s head movement. It is jumping up and moving its head to left. Through the horse’s sight line we can receive the line direction. The visual movement is simple in my reframing one because it focuses on the horse mostly. The horse is the biggest object and it is on the most front of the picture. Based on that, when we see this picture we realize horse firstly and watch through its sight line to the elephants and girl behind it. I think my reframing picture seems free because the horse’s jumping pose. It has no much intensity.
The line direction in the original picture is diagonal. It starts from the man who is kneeling down, raising his arm and holding the cross to the horse. This line is moving towards to the horse’s head. It is moving its head to the left so it seems like it is getting hurt and trying to avoid the man’s stack. Also, the color of the man, ground, and the cloud are dark. The animals’ legs also show me the line direction. In addition, the dark color in diagonal position also creates line direction. Based on the line direction, people will follow the man’s pose and look from him to the horse; from ground to sky. This is one way that people receive the line. Moreover, the color different between the border of the frame, such as dark cloud and dark ground, and the center of the picture provides other way to people to realize the line. Based on the lines arrangement, the visual movement of this picture is complex. The man’s pose, the horse’s head’s movement, the horses and elephants’ legs are all showing us visual movement. I take woman who is standing on the elephant behind the horse as an example. Her is standing bias to her left side on the back. Her moving direction is same as the horse’s head. Even her hair is blown to left. These details create the horizontal visual direction to this original picture.
Over all, Salvador Dali’s picture has more intensity because the interaction between all characters in the picture. It also provides viewers more information about the story behind the picture.

4b song-music critique

I listened Anthony, Nolan and Becca's song projects.
This is my critiques.

3B.Critique three Soundscape Assignments

Maddie and Becca ‘s Soundscape

This soundscape impresses me. The picture and the main melody of soundscape work in same function of showing “guilty”. The noise from forest in the beginning, the noise from water, the sound from thunder rain and the heartbeat in the end are separate sounds but they are linked and create the sad mood for the soundscape. The sound from the forest creates a wide feeling of space to me as a listener firstly. Then the sound from water creates a depth, it sounds like the people is falling deeper and deeper into the sea. The space becomes smaller. After that, the heartbeat changes the space to limited. It sounds like the people breaths harder and harder in the deep sea. Both of the sounds make me feel the changing of space clearly. As the background sounds change from forest to sea until the deep sea, I can also feel the time of the person’s movement. It sounds like he/she walks through forest then keeps walking to the sea. Finally he/she is sinking into the deep sea and his/her breath becomes harder. I can image that all of this person’s movement due to his/her guilty.

Mogan and Meghan’s Soundscape

Mogan and Meghan’s Soundscape make me feel nervous and creepy. Even though I cannot distinguish what kinds of sounds you layered but they sounds similar ambiguous. The ring bell from the church provides me an image of space. Also, the all sound effects include echo so they make me think the space is opened.  The different sounds changes based on a same temple and show me a sense of direction and movement. Furthermore, the basic temple sound starts with a low volume and becomes higher and sounds harder in the end. This change creates distance.

Maggie’s soundscape

Maggie’s soundscape works well on creating the speed to show anticipation. The quick temple and pictures that have strong contrast give the similar motion. They make the temple quicker and quicker to create a sense of movement. Also the change of volume and instruments make me feel ambiguous. The fastest temple in the middle makes me feel the hard eager. I think the sound of electric guitar make the space limited. The sounds quality

Response to Brainwashed

Read Article "Brainwashed - seven ways to reinvent yourself" by clicking here.

In this article, Seth Godin provides readers several ways to reinvent themselves. The first layer is “Connect”. As his saying, connecting with other peoples will help them open minds and get influences from outside. Interacting other people is a good way to crate art and ideas. This layer works to me. I opened a blog for media class in the beginning of this quarter; we posted our assignments and projects on blog every week. Also, we can get extra points if we read and make comments of our classmates’ blog posts. This is one way to connect with my classmates. We work for same project and share our work through blogging. Sometimes, my classmates’ ideal inspired me when I read their blog. It reminded me the weaknesses of my works and I would pay attention on that part when I do my next project.  It helped me complete my projects better.

The second layer I want to discuss is “”Acknowledge The Lizard”. The author mentions the fear and worry from our brain is the resistance of our creativity. We need to break hesitate and get reward from the risks. I think lizard brain effects me a lot. I am the kind of person who wants peace and safe. The risks always let me worry about the perfect degree of my works.  For example, I may just follow the direction and make sure I have done every requirement from our teacher when I am doing my blog assignments as usual.  However, I looked some blog examples from students that took this class in previous quarters, I was inspired that my blog could be more individuation. For example, I like photographing so I can post my favorite photos on the blog that will not lower my grade, instead, it makes my blog looks more interesting and full of individuation. This is one chance that I break out my lizard brain and get reward form the risk.

PROJECT TWO -- “MUSIC/SONGS ”

In this project, I worked with Maddie Schneider and we created two song with 2 same instruments in different emotion. We chose instrumentation and arrangement from phase 2 as our identical elements of songs and we mede our song different by using different temple. The differences between these songs cause audiences' different emotion which are cheerful and heavier. I think I did a good job with Maddie!
Thanks Maddie's great help of my poor English expressing skill !!  :)

Blog Assignments 3A

Demo and Written exploration of Cover Songs

Frankie Valli - "Can't take my eyes off you"

Muse- "Can't take my eyes off you"

In this assignment, I choose two versions of song “Can’t take my eyes off you” to analyze their melody and musical qualities. They come from Frankie Valli and Muse. Their melody is same but the harmony is quite different. From the Frankie’s version, I heard that he sings leisurely and express his emotion gently. Because his voice and the timbre are clear, Frankie’s version hears like he is romantic showing his love to the girl that he loves. However, Muse’s version hears more attractive and more passion because his virile voice and the rock elements. His voice makes me feel his love is deeper and exploding.
Then I will analyze these two versions through their musical quality. The rhythm from Frankie’s version is regular and the temple is soft because the regular and repeating beats as background. This song’s speed is andante. In this version, the band only uses saxophone and drum to create the whole song so I think the timbre is simple. This version has a clear organization because he is singing with a high pitch firstly and changes higher when the chorus comes. Moreover, only singer and drum’s sounds are playing in the first part of song and the saxophone is added in the beginning of chorus. This organization builds a kind of emotional architecture in order the make audience feel the singer’s emotion is becoming harder. On the other hand, the Muse’s rock version of “Can’t take my eyes off you” is quite different from the original one. I divide this version into two different parts. The rhythm of first part is faster than Frankie’s version. Muse sings softly firstly with low and hoarse voice in low pitch. The speed is moderate at that time. Also, the timbre is still simple now. This version’s organization is more obviously because everything changes in chorus. When the chorus comes, the intensity of song start changing to hard and heavy. The speed becomes fast and the timbre becomes complex. I can hear that the drums, electric guitar and bass are playing in the same time so the whole emotion changes. Muse also raises the pitch and sings with a little bit screaming. All rocking elements appear in the song. This organization of this version is easier to raise audience passion.
Even though these two versions of “Can’t take my eyes off you” have same melody and same rhythm in first part of song, the organization and timbre changes the feeling of them. The Frankie’s “Can’t take my eyes off you” hears a little bit old school to me. Also the temple is too slow hence it hears boring but I still love the meaning behind it. This version is too soft to express love. In stead, I like Muse’s version because I feel more from him. Muse’s screaming, the band’s playing and the lyric are working together tightly then bring me into a high and strong emotion. I feel I want to dump and scream with the band. I can feel I am exploring his love story with the change of his emotion. I like this version because the strong emotion from Muse and his band.

Audio response to Find Your Howl

Download my audio response mp3 file here!!!!!

Read article by clicking here.

In the second part of Jonathon’s article, he tells us a story about a tiger that plans to escape from the cage of a zoo. However, it always lands on another cage of another zoo. The tiger continues his tragic with a wrong way to escape. Based on this story, Jonathon teaches his readers that they have to realize whether they on the correct way to find their howl or not. He reminds this reader do not do the same thing as the tiger did; they have to find through digging their own prison such as fear, living condition or other self reason firstly and face them then solve them.

This is a quote from the second part of Jonathon’s article, “This is the way for us- not to jump out of our pain, but to tunnel through it and find the center of life that is bigger than our little cage ever was and more benevolent than we can imagine. I don’t know what to call that center and there is really no point in naming it. What I do know is that it makes authentic expression of who we are possible.” This quote relates to my personal experience. I am used to be a person who was never watching TV shows before the second year of my middle school. I hated watching TV. I though it was boring and wasted of my time. I liked chatting with my friends and playing online games that age. However, my computer broke down and my parents refused me to fix it because they though I spent too much time on computer. I was so disappointing and I felt so boring at that period. I spent my all summer break without my computer! That’s too sad for me. In order to deal with my boring, I started watching television. Since I am forced to watch TV, I fond that I was so interested in the TV show. I even started curious about how this shows were being produced. I started paying attention on television. In my final year of high school, I decided to choose video production as my major because I found my real passion. It wasn’t about computer or Internet; instead, my real passion is about TV production. Exploring thing that I hate helps me find new creative ability, which I have never known. Those unfamiliar and non-interesting experiences help me know whom I really am and what exactly I want to do. It was my most meaningful howl.

1B Response to reading: WAYS TO GET IDEAS

This article “14 Ways to get Breakthrough Ideas” from Mitch Ditkoff guides readers to find things that will inspire themselves and provide them suggestions to find new ideas easier. People sometimes will miss their inspiration or do not ralize their inspiration. They need be pointed out where is the inspiration and how to get them. It depends their hoppy, the way they are thinking their living environment and etc. The author wants to let reader know the ideas exist in their life everywhere and they need to find way realize them and turn these potential ideas into real breakthrough ideas. Also, the author provides reader prompt to follow up, it help readers start finding their ideas right after reading this article.
In my own experience, the first tip, which is “follow your fascination”, is most useful method for me to get new ideas. More interest and hobbies provide more ways to thing and receive information. Hence, follow your curious and find out every thing you want to know or want to learn. For instance, I am an amateur photographer so I go out with my camera every day. Every new scenery or experiences can fascinate me because I like to record them by my camera. Hence I usually go over my all photo albums during I am thinking new ideas. It does work for me. Also the fascinating things usually capture my all attention in short time. I will concentrate on it and spend my all time to exploit it. I can find breakthrough ideas during my exploration of the fascinating things.
“Hang out with diverse groups of people” also a useful tip for me to find breakthrough ideas. I am in a team of one web radio station in my hometown. It was settled up by a group of my high school classmates. This web radio show comes once a month and the toughest thing of creation is thing the theme of the next show. Every time we have trouble to think an attractive theme, I will hang out with my other friends instead of my team partners. During the conversation with these diverse groups of people I am inspired by their school life, personal relationship or the hottest topic in their group. These out-side experiences help me to think a theme that more appropriate to our audience’ taste. If we always stay with people in the same field of us, our imaginative power will be limited in the small group. We need outside resource to enrich our imagination. Furthermore, hanging out with diverse groups of people can help you release your mind and take a break. Distracting from your work for a while can help you get over the stuck. I usually deal with my trouble in this way; too much concentrate will limit my inspiration. I need to relax and reopen mind to other things in order to gain breakthrough ideas.
I think “Listen to my subconscious” dose not work for me. It is a bad suggestion because our subconscious is too hard to record and find.
We have lots of subconscious for everything happened in our dairy life but when we decide to put them into a log, they will not be subconscious anymore. Sometimes, they disappear. I think subconscious just a feeling; it’s too emotional and subjective. It may not be able to give us a right direction to thinking ideas. Our breakthrough ideas of our projects need more feasibility. Also, I cannot remember my dreams at all so the dreams cannot became my breakthrough ideas.
I choose the prompt from the first suggestion, which is “What new idea is fascinating you? What new possibility has captured your attention? In what ways can you honor this inspiration today? ” Taking Polaroid photo to record my life every day is one thing fascinates me because I have heard a person keep taking Polaroid photo through his entire life and their family uploaded these photos after died. It lasts for more than 30 years. Some people can find what he was doing on their birthdays. I am interested in this story because it the spiciest way to record life that I have never seen. Beside, I think the online interesting news and some information from famous photographer can possible capture my attention because I love photographing. I keep tacking several well-known photo exhibitions for long time and sometimes the theme of exhibition is so interesting and special. Moreover, refreshing news on Internet and searching the relative news of my interest every day help me to get the inspiration.

BLOG ASSIGNMENTS 1A

I am an amateur photographer. I like traveling and seeing this world by my camera.  I have visited some interesting photography exhibit and sometimes the meaning behind photos amazes me. Through pictures, I can see what the photographer’s understand of the world and what kind of perception that they want to show. I think it also works on movie directors. I am a super fan of documentary films, and my favorite movie director is Werner Herzog. He directed many winnings film such as Grizzly Man, The Wild Blue Yonder and Scream of Stone. His went through lots of extremely dangerous places to work for his movies. In his all productions, the movie Encounters At The End Of The World is my favorite. This movie is not only talking about the beings in Antarctic, it also includes a theme about dream. The main theme of the film is nature, penguin, language extinction and etc. However, the deeper mean of the film is the scientists, truck driver, welder and etc. They are professional dreamers. For example, in the end of penguin part in the film, a penguin is walking father and father. (EX1) The narrator says: "The rules for the humans are not disturb or hold up the penguin. Standing and let him go on his way, he is heading toward certain death." This text is describing the penguin, but the subtext is describing the scientists and working people in Antarctic for research. There is no way to disturb them or distract them from their dreams; they want to work here even though died here. The penguins are the symbol of these dreamers.
 (EX1)
It is difficult to define a documentary movie is objective or subjective. However, in my opinion, this movie is subjective. In the beginning of this movie (EX1), the narrator is “Who wants to come to Antarctic” . This question connects all parts of this film. According to this narrator, I can feel the director’s respect to the peoples that working in Antarctic for science. This movie is no as same as other sciences documentary movie, which describes a truth or a phenomenon of nature objectively. It contains director’s personal emotion. In my own view, I think Werner Herzog tries to use these scientists to represent himself. In an interview, he said that as a movie director, he was more interesting in producing documentary films because the adventure can bring his all passions. It was a kind of spirit for being a movie producer. He just likes the scientists that are completely addicted to their dreams. I think this movie is also an representation of his career life.
(EX2)
Thinking back to my childhood, the scariest movie that I saw were the series of Jurassic Park. I remember that was the fist time I cover my ears subconsciously during seeing a movie. I didn’t know why I would chose to turn off the sounds when I realize the Tyrannosaurus Rex might show up at that age. It was easy to understand the magic of sound because that experiences when I was young.  The movies inspired me far before I get into media industry.
Let’s watch one scene of Jurassic Park as an example.(EX3) In the beginning of this scene, the violoncello is playing during the little boy finds the movement of the water in those cups. The sound with slow rhythm and creepy melody raises audiences’ tension about the dinosaur is coming. After that the Tyrannosaurus Rex shows up. The music turns to fierce with the fight between the dinosaur and characters. Then the characters start running, the sound changes to extremely nervous to let audiences worry they may be catches by the dinosaur.
                                                                        (EX3)
This example illustrates my understanding of the musical magic, which I learnt from Jurassic Park in my young age. I think music is the second important concept of understanding a movie.  It decides the tone of the movie auditory.
My understanding of the concepts from classes is the media production divides by kind, type, genre, sub-genre and approach.  The artists show their theme of productions in many ways. They use color, music, temple and melody to show the mood of their production. In a move, they are writing text and subtext to show the mean of a movie. Using the contrast and affinity help audiences to determine the character’s personality. The tension and release of the movie catch audiences’ attention to follow the scrip. The artists use amount of elements to create their work and express their meaning to audiences.

Mdia203 , 1st Lab meeting

I signed up for the 8-10 a.m. lab because I don't have class on Friday. Attending a lab on 8 am will push me to get my Friday start early instead of spending all day time on bed or doing something else. The classes   I am taking this quarter have lots of reading and projects to do. Friday is my best time to go over that reading again and review the notes from all classes. Then I can have a lot of fun on weekend without guilty :)

This is the photo that I edited by iphoto in class today. I took it under the Liberty Status in New York last spring break.
